The criteria, evidence requirements, and response windows for takedowns, urgent privacy requests, and cemetery-wide suppression.
Valid takedown reasons
Valid reasons include living-person errors, recent-death privacy requests, legal orders, documented safety concerns, and verified cemetery management requests.
Response times
Urgent privacy cases are triaged immediately. Standard requests receive an initial response within two business days.
- Urgent privacy: same-day triage
- Correction request: 48 to 72 hours
- Full takedown review: 5 to 7 business days
Appeals
If a request is denied, the requester can provide additional evidence for a second review by senior staff.
